I'm Jessalyn, a Product Designer who thrives on solving complex problems that most designers shy away from.
My path to design wasn't straightforward, and that's exactly what makes me effective.
I started in environmental science, where I learned to spot patterns in messy data and think in interconnected systems. I worked in healthcare with seniors and people with hearing loss, which taught me that good design can genuinely improve people's lives, especially for those who can't afford confusion or friction.
When I discovered UX design, it felt like everything clicked. It combined my analytical thinking from science, my empathy from healthcare, and my fascination with human behavior. I taught myself marketing and digital analytics because I wanted to understand not just what users do, but why, and how to measure whether design actually works.
I think in systems, not just screens.
I consider diverse user needs and abilities from the very beginning. I align stakeholders through clear visual communication and I'm relentless about connecting design decisions to measurable outcomes. Whether it's enterprise software or a small business website, I care deeply about creating experiences that empower people to make confident decisions.
